Sunrise over a Coastal Dairy Farm

Our farm, Wilsonview Dairy, is about 8 miles from the Pacific Ocean and while my days are never the same one thing remains constant: sunrises with my girls is one of the best perks of being a dairy farmer.

I captured just shy of 8 minutes of an early morning in one of our pastures last August and as snow falls across the country it seems like a good time to think about warm summer days for a few minutes.

You ask for unfiltered access to the farm, and this is it.

If you’re the praying kind, keep farmers and ranchers in the midwest in prayer as winter weather runs its course. They’ll spend their next days busting up ice to ensure their cattle have access to water, DIYing ear warmers for new calves, haying cattle, and losing a lot of sleep taking care of their herds.
